Miniature Position Transducers and Air Data Products

Miniature Position Transducers (String Potentiometers (String Pots))

position transducers that are flexible alternatives to linear potentiometers, encoders, LVDTs, and RVDTs These all-environment miniature displacement transducers are also referred to as draw wire transducers, string pots, string encoders, cable extension transducers, and yo yo pots. Complementary to LVDTs, encoders, linear potentiometers, and related displacement sensors, SpaceAge Control position transducers are noted for their small size, rugged performance, accuracy, flexible mounting, and easy installation.

Air Data Products

air data products measure pitot and static pressures as well as angle of attack (AOA), angle of sideslip (AOS), and total air temperature (TAT) Air data products obtain aircraft angle of attack (AOA, alpha), sideslip (AOS, beta), static pressure, total pressure (pitot static), outside air temperature (OAT), and total air temperature (TAT). Typical names for these devices are nose booms, wing booms, nosebooms, air data probes, pitot probes, pitot static probes, trailing cones, and trailing bombs. These products provide pressure and airflow direction data to data acquisition and air data computers for computation of aircraft orientation, airspeed, altitude, and related information.
