WRIGHT FLYER DISPLACEMENT AND AIR DATA MEASUREMENT

Spaceage Control Products Help Reverse-Engineer History

On 17 December 2003, the Experimental Aircraft Association's (EAA's)authentic reproduction of the 1903 Wright Flyer will attempt to take to the skies in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina as a re-enactment of the world's first powered flight. To better understand the aircraft's flight characteristics, SpaceAge Control's mini air data products and subminiature position transducers have been used to measure pilot inputs, flight controls, total and static pressure, angle of attack, and angle of sideslip.

For more information on the project, contact us.
